Founded in 2020 by Thomas Moses, DUNEHAUS specializes in fine carpentry rooted in the unique architecture and craft of the Outer Cape.

After moving to the area in 2014, Thomas developed a deep respect for the mid-century architecture and building design of his surroundings. Having grown up in the South Shore, he began to see the local design as a twist on traditional New England style, and focused his attention and skills towards honoring and contributing to that distinct lineage of tradition and architectural innovation.

In collaboration with the Cape Cod Modern House Trust, Thomas worked to help restore the Weidlinger House, and continued in his role over the next several years as a Lead Carpenter and Project Manager on a myriad of projects until deciding to start a new chapter - DUNEHAUS.

With a vast knowledge of the timeless Outer Cape style and properties, Thomas develops good working relationships with selective clients who entrust their carpentry projects to someone who knows the history that their homes have and has the knowledge and skills necessary to bring their vision to life.

Specialities include interior trim and casework, cabinetry, built-ins, restoration, and more.

The culmination of Thomas’s counterculture interests growing up, his extensive background in music, and his passion for the architectural styles of his region and community is what DUNEHAUS is rooted in; A solid foundation of knowledge, respect and outside-of-the-box thinking, built upon with experience and skills.
